Meet Peter Schriemer

Peter Schriemer is a wildlife filmmaker and educator with decades of experience filming in America's wild places. His work is grounded in careful observation, respect for the natural world, and a deep belief that families learn best when they explore together. Beyond Your Doorstep represents the intersection of filmmaking, education, and conservation, created to serve families for years to come.

Peter believes in education through exploration. As he shares, "Conservation begins in the backyard or at the park down the road. Children naturally learn to care for wildlife and habitats when they grow up exploring nature and enjoying it together as a family."

As "America's Nature Guy," Peter has produced content for PBS, the National Wildlife Federation, Animal Planet, Smithsonian Channel, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. These productions have earned more than 30 prestigious industry awards, and Peter has been officially outfitted by national brands, including Eddie Bauer, Leatherman Tools, and Subaru.
